One of my favorite things about summer is getting to have dinner outside. There’s something restful and refreshing about sitting out in nature, listening to the birds and rustling leaves, eating delicious food! And with four kiddos, I also love the fact that outdoor dining helps keep our kitchen squeaky clean, because honestly, there are days in the winter when it feels like I never stop cleaning it!

Whether it’s just our family, or we’re entertaining friends, we pretty much live outside when the days get longer. So, I’m always on the hunt for good quality, simple kitchen wares that make moving life outside, easier. I updated some of my summer kitchen pieces using a few of Walmart Home’s lines this year. I’m so happy with the quality, and I love the soft color scheme that I was able to pull together for this little backyard picnic we had the other day!

It’s been so incredibly hot here the last few days, I decided to keep the food super simple. Little sandwiches, salad, fruit, cheese, crackers, and olives, and everyone was happy. But even though the food was effortless, the presentation made it feel like such a special meal. Ayla is my little, budding homemaker, and the look on her face when she rounded the corner and saw her special backyard picnic, completely made my day.

What you see here is mainly from The Pioneer Woman and Better Homes and Gardens lines, but I’m genuinely impressed by the quality and style of so many of the new pieces Walmart Home is carrying!
