Well, it feels like summer’s here for sure, this week. Last week was rainy and cold, and completely miserable, and summer felt so far away. But as terrible a way it was to kick off summer blog season, that type of weather also makes me so happy to have an excuse to hunker down at home, light some candles, bake, and just slow down as much as possible. Which is pretty much what I did. And now, here we are this week, and we’re in a full blown heat wave! You’ve got to love New England weather.

As of last week, I was planning to share my summer living room as a part of this tour (you can check out how I styled our mantel and built ins for summer here), but my sister invited us to spend a few days up in Kennebunkport last weekend, and my plans to photograph the living room promptly flew out the window in exchange for the chance to fill up my soul with salty, ocean air, and sunshine.

So, I’m sharing the summery touches I’ve added to our kitchen today instead, and I’ll do my best to get the living room photographed and shared ASAP!
