Hey Guys! I’m excited to be joining Bre from Rooms for Rent, and an amazingly talented group of bloggers to share some pretty summer tablescape ideas with all of you today! I can’t wait to make the rounds and see what everyone shares, because it’s one heck of a lineup happening today. Don’t miss the sneak peeks and links to everyone’s posts down below!
Spring got off to a slow start in our neck of the woods this year. It’s been unseasonably cold and dreary here for weeks on end, but we’ve FINALLY had some perfect spring weather the last couple of weekends. I’ve been looking at getting some new outdoor furniture after a friend recommended a great company that sells outdoor furniture in myrtle beach. Our outdoor chairs were looking very tatty so I decided to get some new ones ready for the sunny weather. Spring is here! The grill’s been fired up a time or two, bedtime stories are being read a little later, and, at the end of the day, my house has been clean, and the girls have been filthy from head to toe. All sure signs that summer is making its way towards Massachusetts.
Which makes it the perfect time to start sharing some outdoor entertaining inspiration!
I decided to set a table under our apple trees for this post. Mainly because it was super sunny the day that I took these photos and I needed the shade, but also because I think there’s something magical about the twisted, low hanging branches of fruit trees. In the future, I’d quite like to invest in some decking to place the table on, just for the aesthetic look and to make outdoor parties and gatherings more functional. Websites like Dino Decking really offer a variety of designs to allow you to express your style. I can just imagine having an outdoor lounge where we can have parties. Shopping online for our outdoor lounge furniture on a site similar to Remarkable Outdoor Living (https://www.remarkablefurniture.com.au/outdoor-lounges.html), decorating it the way we want it so that it’s nice and cozy and perfect. I mean, I still love the look of the table under the branches, but a girl can dream, can’t she?

They also made it really easy for me to string up some globe lights, and now I kinda just want to string all of the trees up with lights and leave them indefinitely, lol!
I decided to keep the color palette for this table a simple pink and blue.
I was walking through target a couple of weeks ago and saw this shower curtain, and I thought it would make an amazing tablecloth. Which pretty much inspired everything that followed!
I almost never use things made of fabric for their intended purpose, lol. Tablecloths become drapes, shower curtains become tablecloths. If I like the material and it’s pattern, I’ll find a way to use it.
I found these adorable little seed starter kits, and thought they added the bit of whimsy that the table need too. Aren’t they cute?

Decorating has therapeutic value for me, but not when I’m running around like a mad woman, trying to get things done at the last minute. So, whenever we’re getting ready for a party, I turn on my favorite playlist, and set the table in the morning before any of the cooking gets underway. And then I’ll just leave plates and glasses upside down on the table until just before guests start arriving.
When we first started hosting holidays, parties, etc., I’d wait too long to start setting the table, and I’d end up frantically trying to finish up at the last minute, which takes the fun out of the whole process. And if it’s not fun, why do it, right?
