The Inspiration Edit: November 2025
When the light starts to soften and the pace slows, I always find myself drawn to things that feel grounding. Pieces and experiences rich with texture, worn in softness, and just that right touch of cozy that the cooler weather makes me crave. There’s something about this season that invites warmth in all its forms; tactile materials, lived-in color, thoughtful detail.

I’ve been inspired this month by quiet luxury, a gathered and evolving rather than purchased perfection aesthetic, simple pleasures, and layers and layers of coziness. Here are the tones, textures, and some quiet moments that have been speaking to me lately.

1. Pattern + Patina
Florals, checks, and gentle symmetry. Plaid is timeless. It feels like a touch of the past quietly threading itself into the present. The wallpaper ‘trend’, if you can call it that is still growing, and I’m still completely enamored with it- on walls, ceilings, built in nooks, you name it. My love affair with wallpapered ceilings actually goes all the way back to 2017 (see post here), and this season it’s been making a resurgence for me. Paired with vintage textiles, and those classic Morris & Co. motifs that age so gracefully over time, I find it to be such a timeless and beautiful choice. Plaids and patterned sofas have also been been catching my eye and making my heart skip. Prediction: we’ll be seeing patterned and skirted furnishings more and more for years to come.

2. Evergreens + Gatherings
There’s a certain kind of green that only feels right this time of year- a rich tone somewhere between moss and pine. I love draping the house with garlands and velvet ribbons, mauves and blushes, and all of the winterberry-inspired tones I can get my hands on at this time of year. And of course, setting simple tables layered in candlelight at every opportunity… For me, simple little touches like these make the cooler months so much more lovely. I call it ‘wintering’ around here. A time when the earth naturally goes inward and blankets inself in comfort, so it can rebloom fresh in the spring. And that always influences my decor and how I actually live my life in the cooler months too.

Evergreen moments and the quiet beauty of simplicity.
3. Warmth in Layers

This edit is full of textures you can almost feel. I’ve always adored interiors that balance refinement with approachability, a room where the light lands just the right way on a well worn book or a perfectly painted built in. Warm tobacco, muted sage, ivory, pale blue, and garnet is where my heart’s at this season. Pure coziness.

The comfort of lived-in, perfectly imperfect layers, the cozy essence of a beautiful and soft fall to winter transition.
4. Pleasures in the Ordinary
A morning skincare routine. A cozy sweater. A bowl of chia pudding with figs and pistachios. The small moments that bring calm and clarity feel more beautiful when we take the time to be present for them.

For me, this time of year is all about leaning into small, still moments that feel restorative rather than rushed, and experiences that are lasting. Spaces that feel lived in, touches that hold meaning, soft-against-the-skin textures, and quiet, simple pleasures that bring us back to ourselves. Slow mornings. Nourishing routines. Full hearts.
Happy cozy season, everyone.
