Hey Guys!
I’m back again with more fall inspiration this week!
Did you see everyone’s beautiful fall wreath tutorials last week? If you missed that post, you can find it here. I was completely blown away by all of the beautiful and imaginative wreaths that everyone came up with!
I’m always so inspired by the creativity and beauty The Happy Housie’s Seasonal Simplicity Series brings together, and I can’t wait to check out what everyone else is sharing today too. I have all of the posts linked down below, and there is some seriously beautiful inspiration to take in, so don’t miss it!
The theme this week is fall mantels, and I kept mine simple and cozy this year.
Our ‘mantel’ is actually a shelf that I had my husband install above our TV.
Because, you know, TV’s aren’t the most beautiful focal point, but they’re also a necessary evil, lol. (for the area rug and mirror sources, click through the lookbook below)

Putting up the shelf gives the illusion of a mantel, and it also allows me to create a new, much prettier focal point in our living room.
For fall decor this year, I kept it simple. We have built ins flanking the TV wall, and I didn’t want to have too much going on.
A simple vase of eucalyptus and amaranthus…
a stack of vintage books and a pretty, pumpkin scented candle with coconut wax that smells incredible (from Homegoods)…
Beads and a fake white pumpkin (because real pumpkins are nowhere to be found here yet!)…
And I called it a day!
And seriously, if you see one of these candles at Homegoods, grab it! I’m not one for over the top artificial scents. This candle is made with coconut wax and essential oils. Its subtle and smells kind of like sugar cookies with a hint of pumpkin.

And here’s a peek at our other built in. I’ll be sharing our front porch and a full tour of this space next week, so don’t forget to pop back in for that. And make sure you head over and take a look at the beautiful mantel inspiration that everyone is sharing today!
