A Kitchen Meant for Gathering

Some homes are designed to impress — others are designed to be lived in, wholeheartedly. This one, somehow, manages to do both.

When I first met the family behind this project, I could tell right away that their lives were full — full of energy, sports schedules, laughter, and the kind of joyful chaos that only comes with raising kids. They had waited a long time to build this house, and they dreamed of a home that could gracefully hold it all — the movement, the meaning, the mess, and the memories.

So when we were designing this space, we knew it had to feel easy, but also grounded. Comfortable, but quietly elevated. And yes, beautiful from every angle. This kitchen is part of a new construction home, which gave us the freedom (and the blank canvas) to play with contrast and softness in equal measure. The palette leans into warm whites and layered neutrals — think sun-washed walls and white oak floors underfoot — but it’s not shy.
