A Family Centered Kitchen with Timeless Style
A Kitchen Meant for Gathering
Some homes are designed to impress — others are designed to be lived in, wholeheartedly. This one, somehow, manages to do both.

When I first met the family behind this project, I could tell right away that their lives were full — full of energy, sports schedules, laughter, and the kind of joyful chaos that only comes with raising kids. They had waited a long time to build this house, and they dreamed of a home that could gracefully hold it all — the movement, the meaning, the mess, and the memories.

We started with the heart of the home — a soft, airy kitchen designed with both beauty and function in mind. The tones are quiet and natural, the textures warm and grounded. We layered in timeless finishes and thoughtful details — everything from the handmade zellige tile to the collected accents by the window feels curated yet completely unfussy.

Just beyond the island, we carved out a keeping room — a cozy seating area tucked into the kitchen, perfect for morning coffee, afternoon chats, or keeping an eye on homework while dinner’s on the stove. It’s spaces like this that make a house feel like home.
Kitchens tend to carry a lot of emotional weight — they’re gathering spots, coffee stops, morning chaos stations, and the place you stand when you can’t decide what you want but open the fridge anyway. So when we were planning this space, we knew it had to feel easy, but also grounded. Comfortable, but quietly elevated. And yes, beautiful from every angle.
New construction is always a fun opportunity because it gives us the freedom (and the blank canvas) to play with contrast and softness in equal measure. The palette we selected for this space leans into warm whites and layered neutrals — think sun-washed walls and white oak floors underfoot — but it’s not shy. Deep black accents and bold brash details cut through the calm, anchoring the space with just the right amount of edge.

This is only the beginning of what we created together — I can’t wait to share more from this beautiful project over the coming weeks, from serene bedrooms to a truly dreamy pantry and beyond.
But for now, here’s a first peek into this kitchen built for real life — and for gathering.
